- 2018 - A New Spotting Year!
Unfortunately, I did not get as much spotting done at Dublin as I would have hoped last year. However, this year I will definitely change that!
A couple of trips to Manchester are on the cards as usual, also another trip to Amsterdam as it was very good the previous two years.
I also want to look at the likes of Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and possibly even Lanzarote towards the end of the year.
On top of this, upgrading my camera equipment at some point towards the end of the year is also something I am looking to do.
You can help me to achieve this goal by purchasing my aircraft photos on Ebay or even donating through Paypal today - It would be much appreciated! (See Below)
Wishing everyone a very successful year ahead,
Adam
Brilliant Amsterdam Spotting Trip
My recent visit to AMS was very successful. The weather was brilliant (I managed to come home with a tan haha!!) but more importantly, I photographed alot of great aircraft!
Photos are currently being rolled out slowly on my Facebook and Flickr page so check them out!

Summer of exciting spotting trips ahead - April 2016
I am looking into some spotting trips around Europe in the coming months. Airports that I am currently looking into include Amsterdam and Dusseldorf with a possible bigger trip towards the end of the year.
I will announce it here when they are confirmed!

Merry Christmas 2014 from Adam Ryan Aviation Photography!
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every single person who visited my website and facebook page throughout the year! I am a few 'likes' away from passing 11,000 which I am very very grateful for as i never expected that much support in just over a year!
I have a superb year around Dublin and Manchester Airport and have up'd my efforts whith my photos to make them even better for you guys! Also, upgrading to a Nikon SLR in the summer was a huge bonus so I can't wait to experiment with it even more in 2015!
As for visiting some other airports for spotting, I am considering LHR and hopefully a few german airports before 2015 is out!
Finally, its that time of year again where I post my 'Top Shots of the year'! I am in the process of going through them all from the past year and a set will be compiled together and posted on Flickr on New Year's Eve! :)
Wishing everyone a safe Christmas and very happy New Year 2015!

20/6/14 - Super few days at Dublin Airport
On the 17th June 2014, I bagged my first chineese reg'd aircraft at DUB, an A330 belonging to Air China..she arrived on the 15th June on an Official trade delegation visit and she departed just after 3pm...Hopefully we will be seeing these regularly at Dublin in the near future!
The next day (18th) was the hanger tour where a B777-200LR [A6-BBE] belonging to Qatar Airways had just got a repaint and a group of us were given an 'access all areas' pass to walk around the aircraft in the hanger! It was my first time seeing a Qatar Airways aircraft in Dublin and also my first time this close to a B777!
While on the ground, I also got to see various business jets and a German Air Force A310 [10+24] that was resting outside waiting for a repaint when the Qatar left the next morning. CLICK HERE to see it.
Photos can be found on the 'My Photos' tab above and on Flickr. CLICK HERE to see them on Flickr.
Finally, a huge thanks to Airliner Experience for organising the event, it was truely an unbelievable experience!

Adam Ryan Aviation Photography wins Flying in Ireland magazine Flightfest photo competition - October 2013
FlightFest was a once-in- a-lifetime, international fly past, which took place in the centre of Dublin City on Sunday, 15th September 2013.. It was a truly historic event involving more than 30 aircraft (including the A380) flying at low level following the path of the Liffey right through the centre of Dublin.
Over 130,000 people filled up the banks of the River Liffey to watch one of the most anticipated events in Irish Aviation history!
More than 25 aircraft including British Airways' newest superjumbo A380, Etihad's A340-600 in Formula 1 titles and the classic B-17 flew up the River Liffey at 800ft in what was a truely spectacular event!
During the course of the day I managed to get shots of many of the participating aircraft including the photo that won the competiton: Ryanair's B737-800 with 'U NEVER BEAT D IRISH' titles on the underside of the aircraft.
Flying in Ireland then ran a photo competition on their Facebook page which included over 80 entries by people who also attended Flightfest. The winner would be decided by members of Facebook where the photo that picks up the most 'Facebook Likes' would win the contest.
I included about 8-10 of my best shots along with many other great shots by others. Voting went on over the past week and it was announced today that my photograph of the Ryanair B737-800 with 'U NEVER BEAT D IRISH' titles had won the competiton with 226 likes!
A big thankyou! to everyone who gave my photograph a 'Like' and also a sincere personal thankyou to Flying in Ireland magazine for choosing to include my photo in the competiton.
The 'Flying in Ireland' magazine is a personal favourite of mine and the best monthly magazine for the Irish aviation enthusiast. It includes all up to date news and information in the world of Irish aviation, with great articles, columns & photographs!!
